Brighton Photo Biennial today announced two key appointments.
Julian Stallabrass has been appointed Curator for Brighton Photo Biennial's third edition, taking place in October 2008.
Stallabrass said: “I am delighted to have been asked to curate Brighton Photo Biennial, which has established itself as an exciting and innovative force within the British photography and art worlds. I very much look forward to working with the Biennial team in extending and transforming the event.”
Helen Cadwallader is to be appointed Executive Director of Brighton Photo Biennial, with the retirement of John Gill in August 2007.
Cadwallader said: “BPB provides a uniquely curated platform that surprises and stretches audiences, offering a timely challenge and reminder of the uses and functions of photography and the role of artists and photographers. I am looking forward to building on the significant success and achievement of the last Biennial, working with the BPB team to lead the organisation into the next phase of its growth.”
